50.00

Chef Yia Vang loves to introduce diners to Hmong food in a way that shows the richness of his culture.

On Wednesday. October 18th, he will use the wood-fired oven at St. Croix Chocolate Company to prepare a traditional Hmong meal. The Hmong are an ethnic group native to Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Myanmar and China, who began immigrating to the U.S. after the Vietnam War. The dinner, as is Hmong tradition, will be served family style.

Yia is co-owner of the pop-up restaurant Union Kitchen, you can learn more about his journey to become a chef and advocate for his community here.

We offer two seatings, one at 5:30 PM and 7:45 PM. Seating is limited to 20 diners per seating and each diner must purchase a ticket in advance. Tickets are non-refundable, but are transferable to another person for the same date. With advance notice we can try to accommodate dietary requests (e-mail deidre@stcroixchocolateco.com).

Wine and beer will be available at an additional charge. Gratuity is not included in dinner price.
