About your host

Chef Robyn is an award-winning chocolatier with 10 years experience running St. Croix Chocolate Company in Marine on St. Croix. The shop specializes in creating delicious bon-bons and caramels. Robyn has studied under many of the world's master chocolatiers and can explain chocolate at any level, in ways that are deliciously accessible and fun.

What we’ll do

We'll meet in our private chocolate production lab at 261 Parker St. in Marine, decorate a pumpkin mold using a variety of techniques including painting and stamping with edible, colored cocoa butter. Then we'll cast the mold in delicious dark chocolate. When it's set, we'll demold the decorated pumpkin and have a beautiful finished chocolate bowl and lid, perfect for filling with caramel or other treats. Students will take their own pumpkin home to display or eat. These pumpkins are a favorite in our shop and we sell hundreds of them each fall season. No experience with chocolate or art is necessary.

 

What to bring

Bring a hat or other item to put long hair back (or we'll supply you with a hair net if you prefer). Wear shoes that have closed toes (no flip flops). Bring an apron, or we can loan you one.

Class open to anyone 10 and over. Maximum class size is 6 people.
